“Commit your work to the LORD,

and your plans will be established.”

When we choose to take a step of faith,

our hearts are often still occupied by one lingering question—

what will the outcome be?

We hope that things will unfold smoothly

and that our efforts will lead to the results we desire.

Yet when the outcome remains uncertain,

anxiety and pressure can easily take hold.

Scripture gently reminds us: commit your work to the Lord.

To “commit” is more than a simple act of prayer;

it represents a deep inner shift—

from trying to control the outcome

to fully trusting in God’s sovereignty.

This does not mean we stop making efforts.

Rather, after faithfully doing our part,

we entrust the final result into God’s hands.

When we do so, we begin to experience a divine sense of rest.

The promise that “your plans will be established”

does not guarantee that every plan will unfold exactly as we expect.

Instead, it assures us that when our lives align with God’s will,

He will firmly establish what truly reflects His purpose.

Today, you may be concerned about the outcome of a particular situation.

You have done your best, yet the future remains beyond your control.

At this moment, you can choose a lighter path—

to entrust the results to God.

For true peace

does not come from controlling the outcome,

but from trusting the One who holds it.

Prayer

Lord,

thank You for guiding me as I take steps of faith.

When I feel anxious about the results,

teach me to commit everything into Your hands.

Help me to faithfully do my part

and then release the outcome to You,

trusting that Your will is good and perfect.

May Your peace fill my heart,

allowing me to rest in You even amid uncertainty.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Reflection

• Am I feeling anxious about the outcome of a particular situation?

• Am I truly willing to entrust the results to God?

Today’s Practice

Today, write down one situation whose outcome matters deeply to you.

Bring it before God in prayer and surrender it to Him.

Quietly declare:

“Lord, I have done my part; the outcome is in Your hands.”

Let surrender

become the beginning of true rest.
