“For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.”
Many times, the issue is not direction,
but pace.
We may already know where we are heading.
We may be willing to follow God’s leading.
But when the process feels slow,
restlessness begins to rise.
Why hasn’t anything changed yet?
Why are there no visible results?
Is something wrong?
So we start to speed up,
sometimes even trying to push things forward
in our own way.
But God’s work
rarely unfolds according to our sense of urgency.
“Endurance” is not passive waiting.
It is choosing, after direction has been set,
to keep moving forward without anxiety.
It is an expression of faith—
trusting that God governs not only direction,
but also timing.
Much of growth
does not happen instantly.
It is formed slowly
in what feels like an unhurried process.
A seed does not grow faster because of anxiety.
A life does not mature faster because of urgency.
Today, you may already be on the right path,
just without visible results yet.
Do not rush into doubt.
Do not rush to change direction.
Keep walking—
at God’s pace,
not your anxiety.
Because what God has promised
is never late,
only not rushed by human urgency.
Prayer
Lord,
when progress feels slow,
my heart easily becomes restless.
Give me endurance,
so that I can continue steadily
on the path You have set before me.
Help me trust that
You govern not only the outcome,
but also the process and the timing.
Teach me to walk in Your rhythm,
with quiet trust.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Reflection
• Do I become restless when I don’t see progress?
• Am I willing to trust God’s timing?
Today’s Practice
When you feel impatient today,
intentionally slow down just a little.
Quietly say:
“Lord, I choose to walk in Your timing.”
Let endurance
become part of your faith.
