“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Often, the struggle is not in taking action,
but in what happens after.
We do something,
and begin to look for a response.
We put in effort,
and start expecting change.
When the results do not match our expectations,
our hearts begin to sink.
Was it meaningless?
Did I do something wrong?
Should I just stop?
And slowly,
what began as an act of faith
turns into a struggle driven by outcomes.
But this verse gently reminds us:
do not lose heart just because
you have not yet seen the harvest.
A “harvest” has its own timing.
It does not always appear immediately,
nor does it always come in the way we expect.
The real question is not whether there will be results,
but whether you are willing to continue
when you do not yet see them.
God values more than outcomes.
He sees whether you remain faithful in the process.
Every act of goodness,
every step taken in faith,
is not overlooked.
Even if you cannot see it now,
it does not mean nothing is happening.
Today, you may have already taken steps forward,
yet nothing seems to have changed.
Do not rush to dismiss it.
Do not rush to step back.
Keep going—
not because you have seen the harvest,
but because you trust
that God does not let faithfulness go to waste.
Prayer
Lord,
when I do not see results,
my heart easily becomes discouraged.
Help me not to be driven by outcomes,
but to remain faithful in the process.
Teach me to trust that
even when I cannot see it,
You are still at work.
Give me a heart that does not give up easily,
and help me continue on the path You have set.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Reflection
• Have I felt like giving up because I don’t see results?
• Am I willing to remain faithful even without visible outcomes?
Today’s Practice
When you find yourself focusing on results today,
quietly say:
“Lord, I place the outcome in Your hands.”
Then continue doing what is yours to do.
Let faithfulness
be greater than results.
